Due Date

Paul Beardmore | January 25, 2010

Well today it the 25th of Jan and it’s baby’s due date but as of yet their are no signs of him arriving, were both getting some what impatient, nervous and excited about him arriving and waiting for the first signs of a contraction. I am quite sure it wont be long but you know how it is when your waiting for something time seems to stand still or at least goes very slowly.

We saw him again this morning briefly on a scan just to check how much fluid is left and everything seems to be spot on so keep your fingers crossed everyone that he arrives soon and safely.

Where have I been?

Paul Beardmore | October 7, 2009

Well if anyone does read my blog you may or may not have wondered why i haven’t updated it for such a long time. Well i am about to let you know why!

I have been pretty busy with finishing my extension which is now completely finish (sigh of relief) and were very happy with the results as we now seem to have a house rather then a small poky little flat.

The completion of the extension is nothing compared to some of the other news that i have, the biggest bit is that me and Claire are expecting a baby boy on the 25th of January. And later next month me and claire are going to get married, this however will be a small family affair.

Also i have taken up beekeeping as you can probably tell from the last post which is and extremely fascinating hobby which you will no doubt be hearing more about.

I have a scans which i have attached to the post below (sorry about the poor quality).

Honey Bees

Paul Beardmore |

Honey Bee, originally uploaded by Paul Beardmore.

It’s been a while since I have updated my blog with anything new at all but this is a picture that I have taken today of one of my bees returning with a nice pollen load.

I was obviously in her flight path as she landed on my leg where she was content for a little while before she flew back to the hive.

The Vale Inn micro brewery

Paul Beardmore | April 20, 2009

This post is about some slightly older images, however i have recently just uploaded the rest in the set and though i would share them with you. We were asked by Lee the landlord of The Vale Inn to take some photos of his micro brewery and the pub so that he could use them on his walls and in the beer tent in the upcoming bollington festival.

Pouring the footings

Paul Beardmore | March 10, 2009

Yesterday we were ready for the concrete so Me, Reg and the builders (Tyrer Paving) checked over the shuttering ready for the concrete at midday and their were a few tentative moments as the shuttering took the weight of the concrete but thankfully it didn’t move and everything went well.

Shuttering

Paul Beardmore | March 8, 2009

After digging the footings because they were quite deep and the infill that would normally be left in place was not suitable to do so in this case. To try and save some money we built a wall out of wood to hold back the concrete and since we used materials that we had to hand such as pallet the costs were next to nothing and i am grateful for my Dad, Reg and Richard for helping out.  Also Claire for taking the pictures and keeping us fed and watered.

The day was wet and that made the whole process difficult be never the less it went very well.
